As we live in one of the most dynamic and diverse places on earth, we endeavor to deepen the values and ethics of our students –helping foster the ability to effectively adapt to varied situations, conduct themselves with honor and integrity, and engage in practices that protect our precious natural resources. The FOCUS Foundation Board and Leadership team aims to be truly mindful, reflective, conscious and fair –– integrating an awareness of diversity across all program initiatives. We are committed in policy, principle, and practice to create an inclusive and equitable learning community and organizational culture that values the dignity of all and recognizes the intrinsic relationship between diversity and excellence. Our differences — of backgrounds, socioeconomic status, age, abilities, experience, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, and more — enhance our ability to achieve positive outcomes that will benefit all members of our community. We believe that these essential elements and practices make for a robust and vital learning environment in which everyone has a sense of belonging and where students can develop into respectful, responsible and impactful global citizens.
